Occupational Therapy Services
Pediatric occupational therapy
services are provided for infants through adolescents. We provide
therapy for children with Visual Motor/Perceptual Disorders, Fine and
Gross Motor Disorders, Neurological Disorders, Developmental Delay,
Sensory Integration Disorder, Learning Disabilities, Autism Spectrum
Disorders, Feeding Disorders and more.
Neuromuscular rehabilitation
services are provided for infants through adults to improve
coordination, posture, balance, upper extremity range of motion and
flexibility.
Sensory Integration evaluation and treatment
assists children in improvement of body awareness, motor skills,
coordination, posture, attention, self regulation, and self help skills.
Sensory Integration Online Resources
Treatment of Sensory Defensiveness to address
concerns related to tactile defensiveness, auditory defensiveness,
gravitational insecurity and oral aversion.
Fine Motor Coordination improves children’s
functioning in activities such as handwriting, utensil use, managing
clothing fasteners and object manipulation.
Visual Perceptual/Visual Motor Integration is
necessary for eye-hand coordination, copying and writing skills.
Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as dressing,
self-feeding, and other self-care skills are addressed to increase
independence.
Interactive Metronome (IM) is an advanced
brain-based treatment program designed to promote and enhance brain
performance. Clients learn to: focus and attend for longer periods of
time, increase physical endurance and stamina, filter out internal and
external distractions, improve ability to monitor mental and physical
actions as they are occurring, and progressively improve performance.
Handwriting Without Tears®
is a unique and compelling curriculum designed to teach
strategies to make legible and fluent handwriting an easy and automatic
skill for all students. This curriculum uses multi-sensory techniques
and consistent habits for letter formation to teach handwriting to all
students—Pre-K through Cursive.
In addition, HWT teaches students techniques and activities to
help improve self-confidence, pencil grip, body awareness, posture and
more. Handwriting Without Tears® uses fun, entertaining
and educationally sound principles in its instructional methods. The
techniques have been successfully taught to millions of teachers,
students across the country. The end result is truly "Handwriting
Without Tears."
