Vision Statement

Ability & Beyond’s Occupational Therapy will provide the patient with a therapeutic environment which facilitates development of functional and social skills and improved self-esteem through participation in purposeful activity, which leads to optimal independence.

Description of Occupational Therapy Services
Occupational Therapy Services are provided for any patient for whom a physician's order for OT evaluation, assessment, consultation and/or treatment is received. Initial evaluation will determine if patient will benefit from Occupational Therapy services. Evaluation and treatment, are provided by licensed Occupational Therapists and/or Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants. Only Occupational Therapy Practitioners licensed by Texas Board of Occupational Therapy Examiners can provide occupational therapy in Texas.
The practice of occupational therapy means the therapeutic use of everyday life activities (occupations) with individuals or groups for the purpose of participation in roles and situations in home, school, workplace, community and other settings.
Occupational therapy services are provided to those who have or are at risk for developing an illness, injury, disease, disorder, condition, impairment, disability, activity limitation, or participation restriction.
Occupational therapy addresses the physical, cognitive, psychosocial, sensory, and other aspects of performance in a variety of contexts to support engagement in everyday life activities that affect health, wellbeing, and quality of life.
